In manufacturing, there are many acronyms (FAI, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, etc.). We utilize lots of different specifications, such as military (MIL) specs, which inform us of the parameters of how to perform each task.

Production personnel tend to run amok and make things how they see fit. Quality might refer them to MIL-TFP41, meaning “Make It Like The Fuckin’ Print for once.”
The assembly people put the parts together backwards. I told them to MIL-TFP41 before they make anything else.
