Kniggerbocker 

A slang term used to describe the NBA's New York Knicks squad. A play on words of the predominantly black New York Knickerbocker team. Also used because the head coach or slave owner Mike D'Antoni is a white male. In Layman's terms, a black NBA Player on the Knicks. Also seen as Kniggabockas in when described among black people.

Carmelo Anthony was traded from the Thuggets to the Kniggerbockers in early 2011.

The Kniggerbockers are making a lot of headway in the Eastern Conference.

Old nic-name for a New Yorker. Comes from the days when it was New Amsterdam and the ruling Dutch wore knickers for pants. Since these were so commonly seen on the streets there, the name was then applied to the residents. Source of New York Knicks basketball team name as well.

She comes from three generations of Knickerbockers.
