An intro is a short video sequence (mostly used in a youtube video) that is supposed to make a channel look professional. A 3D or 2D intro is usually around 10 seconds long while a gameplay intro can be as long as a minute, which can harm a subsriber's interest in a video.
In my opinion, SharkFX's intros are over-rated and people should buy an intro from a cheaper and likely better designer.

Intro of darkness then redness then whiteness

An action used by popular youtube comedian Toby Turner, aka Tobuscus, who does a wide range of videos, from songs, to virals, to vlogs, to gameplay commentary. To form an intro in his daily vlog series, he places his thumb on the camera lens, creating darkness, then redness, then whiteness, and sings "Intro of darkness then redness then whiteness" This is used to add an intro to the video, or as Toby often says, to end an awkward moment.
