Imponology

The science of manipulating your authority figures (especially teachers) into giving you more credit than you deserve on an assignment or project.
A perfect example of the science of Imponology is telling a teacher your printer is broken and asking him/her if you can email it to him/her. Instead of emailing the actual document, you email a corrupted version of said document and blame the corruption on technology, an excuse most non-tech-savvy teachers will readily accept. In effect, this ruse grants an additional day in order to complete said assignment.
