A later Middle English spelling, retaining the breathy -s, of hennes, (henne + adverbial genitive ending -s), from Old English heonan (from this time, from now) forth with, along with, at the same time as.
Those climbing the stairs should do so with due cation otherwise they deserve to fall and lose brain cell henceforthwith.
