1) Political parties like B.J.P plays the card of hatriotism for projecting themselves as the savior of Hinduism.

Proving your patriotism by hating the people the government tells you to hate.
Well, I guess they've added a new country to the list of our enemies. I better hate them, too, if I'm going to prove my hatriotism.

Hatriotism is the opposite of Patriotism, and is used by Political Figures to intentionally pass legislation that harms their citizens Standard of Living or Freedom.

An example of this would be the "Patriot Act" signed by George W. Bush, or Joe Biden's proposed 4.7 Trillion dollar yearly tax increase.
Ron: "The Patriot Act was an act of Hatriotism from George W. Bush!"
Hank: "So is Joe Biden's proposal for a 4.7 Trillion dollar yearly tax increase!"
Ron: "An act of Hatriotism indeed."

Someone who claims to love America but hates the majority of the people who actually live there. Hatriots often romanticize small towns and rural areas, which they view as the "Real America", and they mistrust large cities, which are full of liberal elites, colored people, and the undeserving poor.
Sarah Palin was a hatriot when she said "We believe that the best of America is in these small towns that we get to visit, and in these wonderful little pockets of what I call the real America, being here with all of you hard working very patriotic, um, very, um, pro-America areas of this great nation."

A term best applied to right-wing fearmongers who claim anything non-white and non-Christian to be evil. It's also the force behind such measures as the Patriot Act, the Defense of Marriage Act, and the War on "Terror" (a.k.a. Oilgate).
By keeping the terror alert in America at a constant high through acts of hatriotism, the Bush Administration hopes to distract the average American voter just long enough to win his or her vote this November. Those darned evil-doers.
