Adjective. 1. The act of trying to be extremely funny, but really isn't at all. 2. Being terribly unfunny when trying to be comical.
1. Jack's date thought he was fauxlarious, because she didn't think any of his jokes were funny.

2. "Date Movie" and "Scary Movie" are fauxlarious.
