Dreadsock 

Gaming term from the Warhammer 40,000 hobby.

A Dreadsock is a standard sock with a (metal) 40K Dreadnought inside. The Dreadsock is then used to 'beat the stupid/cheeze/beard/shit' out of people.

In general useage, "Dreadsock" is usually suggested to emphasise how stupid a situation is.

Note: it is not advisable to actually hit someone with a real Dreadsock - it can cause serious injury, and get you in a lot of trouble!

"This guy at my local club insists on using illegal rules combos and claiming it's legal! We've tried time and again to make him learn the proper rules! How do I get through to him?"

Dreadsock 

To stuff a Dreadnought (preferably one of the old metal ones) into a sock & then smash it into the cheating/cheezey army list using player's face.

This usually results in pain for the offender. This is a good thing.

However, never Dreadsock Chuck Norris, don't even think about it unless you want to have your testicles crushed. It hurts, believe me.

Player 1: WTF?! U haz 4 skwadz ov teh Nob Bykerz?!?! That iz teh cheeze!!!

Player 2: Yeah, but u wayt untylz i pwn u wiv mah dubel lash Chaos army!!!

Player 1: WTF mahn?!?!

Player 2: It haz 3 Vindicatorz 2!!!

Player 2: MAH FAAAAAAAAACE!!!!!! IT IZ TEH HURTZ!!!!!!!!!

Player 1: That'z wot u get 4 being a cheezey foo.

dreamsick

- adjective

- dreamsick is a condition describing a person experiencing a depressed or melancholy feeling after waking, caused by leftover memories created in REM sleep.

- Other Symptoms: A person currently suffering from dreamsickness will often appear despondent or dejected and exhibit varying levels of lowered responsiveness to external stimuli.

dreadlocks 

Also called dreads, it is a style created by allowing the hair to matt into locks.

Although popular myth gives Rastafarians credit for inventing the style, it is almost as old as humanity itself. Dreadlocks or similarly matted styles have been worn from Africa all the way to India, Australia, and even Papua New Guinea.

Indians call them "jata", and they are generally worn by adherents of Shiva.

Some Austro Aboriginies call them "goonut" or "goonat". It was a popular style around the area now known as Botany Bay in pre colonial times.

The term "dreadlocks" being used for this style, however, did originate with the Rastafarian movement. To them it symbolizes many things including the rejection of conventional western mainstream beauty standards, and the dread some may feel when confronted with the true natural self.

There is some debate as to whether matted locks that are "well manicured" should be called dreadlocks, since they are not natty and often require consistent maintenance and a higher degree of perceived vanity.

I need to tighten up my dreadlocks once a month.
You shouldn't pop your dreadlockss when they're dry.
