-verb (used with object), Dougged, Dougging.
to have one's own story shown as inferior to, or at least irrelevant compared to a similar (or dissimilar as the case may be) story told by Doug Barnett about himself or one of his acquaintances; similar to the term "one-up" in use, albeit more specific

I thought I had him with that last story, but he always finds a way to Doug-up me.

Doug it up 

1. To over think/over analyze a situation so much that you are unable to make a solid decision.

2. To always think about the negatives regarding a situation instead of the positives.

Girl 1: “I don’t know, there are a lot of “ifs.”

Girl 2: “Don’t Doug it up! Be like Magic Johnson and just do it”!
