The need to return to one's home at the same time every day in order to walk and feed one's pets.

I'll catch up with you guys at the bar, I gotta meet my dogligations first.

dogbligation 

An obligation of or relating to dog ownership, often causing one to miss social engagements.

I'd love to attend your day outing to the hot springs, but I'm afraid I have a dogbligation to my large, anxious great dane. She simply can't abide the kennel for overly-long stays.
