A football team (or soccer, whatever floats your boat) that has dominated MLS this 2006 season. With a record of 15-5-10, United has clinched the 2006 Supporters Shield. This goes to the MLS team with the best record and gives them a place in the CONCACAF Champion's Cup. On top of this, United has won the Atlantic Cup, was the first team to guarantee a playoff berth, and sent seven players to the MLS All-Star game (three in the Starting XI), where they proceeded to beat English powerhouse Chelsea FC. DC United also played Spanish giant Real Madrid, a game which ended in an impressive tie, resulting from a spectacular passing sequence involving Freddy Adu, Josh Gros, Christian Gomez, and Jaime Moreno, with Alecko Eskandarian whipping it in past Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
"DC United fucking owns!"
Get the DC United mug.
