Like communism is portrayed in the U.S., looks good on paper, doesn't work very well when implicated. However, communism actually works sometimes, unlike this, and taxes are what you have to deal with if you don't want an idiot to be your president, don't vote for conservatists, unless you are really convinced it will work. However, to prevent the American revolution from repeating, one of them every 200 years is good enough.
Who the heck ever thought conservatism would actually work?

Conservatism is a political ideology or philosophy advocating in conserving a certian aspect of the present environment. Originally, this referred to Monarchists who support the French crown in the revolutions. Conservatism can mean many other views:

Social conservatism: Advocating no change of society's morals, even if current evidence confirms it's inaccuracy.

Fisical conservatism: Advocating rigid economic spending in order to conserve the nation's economy, from threats which could cause a collapse.

Tribal conservatism: Advocacy for keeping a hunter-gather lifestyle and against techno-progression.

Bioconservatism: Advocacy against new bio-technologies.

Wikiconservatism: New movement on Wikipedia, applying social conservatism to the encylopedia.

Neoconservatism: This new brand advocates for militant action moreso, in order to conserve the stability of the world. This advocates for economic spending on the military (contrast, Fisical conservatism).

1) A psychological condition in which an individual's inability to deal with the existential anxiety of knowing life can be lived more freely and fully manifests as a set of political beliefs.

2) A conscious effort to prevent progress.
1) Monday night football, Wednesday night church, Friday night sitcoms: these were the ideals that stood tall in Karl's mind as he waddled into the ballot box.

2) "Intelligent design applies to social Darwinism too." said George, as he signed another bill in the proud spirit of his father's conservatism.

Democratic conservatism is characterized by a set of values and beliefs that is distinct from liberalism such as an emphasis on small government, moralism, and individualism. In contrast to classical liberalism, conservatism emphasizes the rule of law, traditional social and moral standards, and respect for authority. It also holds that society should be regulated to preserve the traditional order. In the United States, Democratic conservatism is an ideology that is mostly associated with the Republican Party, though it has a history in the Democratic Party their views on foreign policy, social issues, and military affairs have been criticized. Modern Democratic conservatism believes that religion, civil rights, traditional family values, and free markets should be supported, but that government should be limited, and the federal government should be restructured to be more efficient. They hijacked the Republican Party after the 1990s and began to use the Republican Party to promote their ideology which was the opposition to liberal policies such as abortion, gun control, gay rights, and environmentalism. In other words, they are the Dixiecrats of the 21st century.
Democratic conservatism in the United States is the main reason why Republicans are accused of racism and homophobia.

A phrase coined by the Republicans for the 2000 presidential election in an effort to divert focus from the fact that in recent history the party had not been known for its compassion. Thus, a camouflage over reality, a diversion of attention from unflattering fact, a ruse, a marketing gimmick to cover up a weakness by asserting that you actually have the strength when you don’t.
“In his Inaugural Address, the President called on Americans to become citizens, not spectators. Since that time the President has used compassionate conservatism as his governing philosophy as the Administration has moved to tackle some of society's toughest assignments, such as educating our children, fighting poverty at home, and helping poor countries around the globe.”
