To go from almost doing something amazing to completely failing. Much like the Colorado Buffaloes do every week.

tap out and buff up.

to rise above the rest of the crowd and stop an action even if everyone else around you is doing it. then to continue to be above it by being strong and continuing to not do the action and then encourage others around you to not to the action as well.
