"Brown" can mean quite a few things in the world of Ween. But for now, we'll just say it represents something that is fairly bodacious.
Did you hear that new Ween album? It's totally brown.

A very common surname in the U.S., Canada, and parts of Europe. The Brown surname originated in 10th Century England Other Brown tribes came from Scottland and Germany (German Browns usually spell their name Braun). Historically, many immigrants arriving in the U.S. changed their names to common American names with Brown being a favorite for it's commonality and short simplicity.

An almost impossible surname to have to research if attempting to trace one's family tree due (of course) to the large number of Browns in the population. Especially in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. In "Brown circles" (with respect to Genealogy) this phenomena is often referred to as coming up against the "Brown Brick Wall".

Browns have a long history in the U.S. and were amongst the first European settlers. A Mr. Brown was a registered passanger on The Mayflower ship that came over from England (the very first one).

Long live the Browns.

John Moses Browning (01/23/1855-11/26/1926), one of the most prolific and successful firearms designers in history, with over 126 firearms-related patents to his name. He designed more weapons still in production today than any other firearms designer of his time. Responsible for the Browning Automatic Rifle (favorite weapon of both Clyde Barrow of Bonnie & Clyde fame and Frank Hamer, the Texas Ranger who took Clyde down), the Browning M2 heavy machine gun (still on active duty with the US Army), the Browning Hi-Power automatic pistol (still in production through Fabrique National of Belgium), the Colt M1911 A1 ACP autopistol that used his slide operation (still in production by Springfield Armory, and up until a couple of years ago the Winchester Model 1894 lever-action rifle.
John M. Browning's excellence in weapons design is proven by the fact that his weapons are still in production a hundred years after they were first introduced.

A term used in whitewater kayaking, particularly in high volume spring flows when the water turns brown.

Synonymous with "the shit", i.e. running the shit/running the brown.

Origin : Demshitz and Sacha Baron Cohen. Demshits says "gonna run the brown" along with a hand motion which Borat does at etiquette training for a dinner party. This hand motion is universally understood in the whitewater kayak community, known as the "brown claw".
Yo dude, the Blanche river is running threat level right now, lets go run the brown!!!
