To report things that are true in isolation, but act to deliberately distort the overall message by a deliberate act of omission.
So called in honour of Jeremy Bowen, a BBC editor who struggles with the concept of objectivity, but is a term of general use. The news reports of Hamas's missile attacks and Israel's response was clearly seen to be heavily Bowenized.
