Biscuitgate

Noun.

Generic term for a British political scandal where these are usually determined by the choice of a particular brand of biscuit by a party's leader in the absence of issues of more pressing concern.
I really hope this is my last word on biscuitgate, but with another Times leader on the subject today, it appears that the scandal will continue to grow.
