Head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks mens basketball team, hired in 2003 after Roy Williams left for UNC. Has also coached at Oral Roberts, Tulsa, and Illinois. Has led three different teams to the Elite Eight, and led the Jayhawks to the Final Four in 2008.
Bill Self's Jayhawks were the first to occasionally wear red uniforms since Larry Brown's 1988 national championship team.
