Previous definitiona are correct, but also, i have one fact to add. It is believed that weare all simply part of Azathoth's dream, and were he to wake up, we would all cease to exist. Othe theory: When he awakens, he will order Nyarlathotep (messenger god) to destroy the universe.

Literally the one reason we exist. There is no Jesus, no Allah, and not even your atheism will save you from the Eldritch Truth. For we all exist in his dreams, and he's probably having a stroke 24/7 with the shit humans do alone if he was actually aware . Thankfully he isn't.
