Tons of pure awesome rolled into one tasty long hominid. A really cool person. Very smart, talented, funny guy who saves your ass on a daily basis then plays a round of Modern Warfare. All in the same day. Usually geeky. Always nice. Rock star in the sack. Leaps tall buildings in a single bound. Eats plants, animals and Pizza Rolls.

The sweetest, kindest, cutest, and most thoughtful boy you will ever meet. He is a keeper. Dereks are usually really good at wrestling. They also are really short when they are kids but hit their growth spurt and are 6'7" overnight. If you find a Derek ask him out because it's the best decision you will ever make.

A Derek has many positive and negative qualities...
Negative:
-Appears to be a jackass when first meeting him
-Makes jokes that can cause people to take offense and doesn't lower his voice and often makes these jokes in public
-Obsession with bands like Owl City
-Occasionally doesn't brush his teeth....
Positive:
-Once you get to know him, he is generous and loving
-Cares about his friends and would do anything for them
-Passionate about the things that matter to him
-Encouraging and honest
So...if you can get past first impressions, a Derek is a life long friend. One tip for all Derek's is to step up and tell the girl you like or love how you feel. Stop being so sensitive and just go for it!
