Eumeterate 

(verb) : To lionize at a distance. To idealize something or someone who is far away in either space or time. To forget the faults of someone who has been distanced from you.
1) She eumeterated her boyfriend while he was in israel, forgetting all of his faults.

2) A eumeteration of Indian culture can make one forget the terrible socioeconomic stratification of the country.

3) We must be careful of the eumeteration of the past, the fifties may have had clear values, but they were also a society of sexual repression and inequality. To eumeterate this time period is to remain ignorant of its full being.
