So, here's my definition for scene.
LET'S JUST MAKE IT CLEAR THAT I'M NOT WITH OR AGAINST THIS KIND OF PEOPLE.
Typical scene kid
* has over 5000 friends on myspace.
* tries not to fix their myspace page too much, to make it sound like they don't give a shit about it.
* they constantly say they have a life outside of myspace.
* their myspace urls include words like: drug, killer, phsycho, millionaire, malice, gore, vanity, miss, massacre, panic, doll, brutal, terror, etc; including a trademark next to it.
* They join a gazillion trains, to get as many scene friends as possible.
* Most of them are vegan and are members of PETA.
* They use extensions and dye their hair of different colors just to seem cool. they dye it not only of a rainbow color, they can have their hair covered with an animal print, like zebra or leopard, zig zags, stripes or anything that will make them look unique.
* Girls commonly have black or blonde hair, combined with more than 2 colors or patterns. super straight, by the way.
* Guys may dye it also. Most of them have black hair, with a splash of a white, blonde or red color.
* Girls use bows, pins, headbands, etc.
* They have a weird obsession with diamonds, bats, dinosaurs, crowns, brass knuckles, hello kitty, gloomy bears and ugly dolls; God only knows why.
* They claim they are straight edge, when in fact, they take pictures of themselves holding a cigarette and looking away like saying 'help me'.
* They listen to music that only 10 or 15 people have listened to. Some example are: the black dahlia murder, job for a cowboy or a life once lost. They may listen to rap songs ocasionally.
* They think it's hilarious when they talk to other scene kids with a ghetto or gangster style.
* Their myspace picture's captions are random song, book or movie lines that don't have anything to do with the picture but they make it sound deep, confusing and amusing.
* Most of them idolize the suicide girls, which are scene girls covered with tattoos, posing naked or half naked for this site.
* Christine dolce, another icon for the scene community; as well as Jeffree star, audrey kitching, jac vanek, raquel reed, hanna beth or clint catalyst. WHAT do they do? oh they dye and style hair, that's what has made them completely e-famous and a bunch of scene queens.
* Kiki kannibal, the most annoying person ever, who claims to be a scene queen, and that she has brought back stripes and made bats and diamonds a trend. (How pathetic, right?). She is worshipped night and day by innocent and new in the scene community kids.
BACK TO THE TOPIC:
* this is the uniform scene kids wear:
- Tight, dark and skinny jeans.
- metal/indie/screamo band t shirt.
- vintage stuff.
- Girls wear flats or the glamxcore ones wear 9 inch stilettos.
- Boys wear converse, vans, etc. NEVER flip flops.
- scene boys would never be caught dead with a beard or a moustache.
- Both sexes would be find wearing TMNT, power ranger, invader zim or any horror movie shirts.
- Girls wear ridiculously bright leggings with different silly patterns.
* scene kids have facial piercings. Most commonly septum and snake bites.
* Some of them have tattoos, not all of them.
* They use hairspray to have 'big hair' so they can look cool.
* They are in love with their sidekicks and ipod.
* They enjoy reading deep, long books and love tim burton's movies.
* One of the things they enjoy the most is watching horror films, like saw.
* They use about 10 layers of make up, with extremely bright neon eyeshadows, fake eyelashes, etc.
* They enjoy doing hardcore dancing in parking lots or at unknown band shows.
* They may appear mean and arrogant. Even though most of them are, they just pretend to be it.
* They claim to be beautiful, special, unique and most of all, vain, unlike emo kids.
* They aren't that emotional.
This is all you need to know about this kids.

In a post-modern, 21st century society, young people (though more specifically those entangled in the sheep-like, doppelganger-esque dimension of popular "youth culture") adhere to a supposedly "non-conformist", free thinking and liberated way of life, which often manifests itself - most predictably - through tastes in both music and fashion related arenas.

More recently in the new millennia, "Scene kids" (or "cool kid wastrels" as I like to think of them) exemplify this inherently boring, self-important, sheep-like, doppelganger-esque, stylistic postmodernity that has been rife throughout the long and tediously dull history of the forever vacuous "popular youth culture" virus of modern times. Many suffers will try desperately hard not to conform to any type of social norm, be it grammatically (see ironically friendless bebo network users for vomit stifling examples of //graMM&tical x. n0n conf0rmitty or through their pathological obsession with an emotionally bipolar variation of self pity, self love and unremorseless yammerings about some obscure nu rave German techno they've discovered whilst masturbating ferociously over a old spaghetti stained copy of NME.

The majority of "scene kids" genuinely subscribe to the flawed notion that a) they are infact "cool", unique and/or "non-conformist" in any such a way, and b) that anyone cares about anything they ever like, do or say. No amount of obscure, avantguard pretentiousness or protestation will ever change that fact.

Whilst one would hope that systematic evolution changes these lesser individuals for the better, it is perhaps more likely that the effects of Social Darwinism will be the their eventual downfall.

These days, anything can be classified as "scene". Scene kids often get called emo or posers. Most scene kids tend to hang out in the city with their other scene friends. Most scene kids have myspace, and have myspace fame from it. A lot of them get noticed by others from myspace. Scene kids with a lot of friends tend to be better looking and can get away with wearing anything. Most scene boys wear tight skinny jeans, of any colour with t shirts, usually of local screamo bands. Scene girls wear clothes that don't match, but they still look good. They like to wear a log of leggings and bows in their hair. They like to have cute little childish t shirts as well. Scene kids hair is usually cut by themselves, or a very expensive hair dresser. Most of the time, their hair will be black with sometimes patches of neon colours. Usually, if their hair is not black, it's bleached to the palest colour you could possibly get.

Scene girls never leave the house without make up and wear a lot of eye makeup. Piercings are another big thing with scene kids. A lot of them have their septums and snakebites done. Scene boys sometimes have very small stretchers in their ears. Scene kids like to hang out at the shops and at gigs and concerts. They hang out in large groups of at least 7 or something. A lot of scene kids have Jeffree Star, Hello Kitty and Oliver Sykes on their profiles.

In conclusion, anyone that doesn't fit the criteria of "normal" is scene, emo, gothic or whatever.
conversation of some scene kids:

"omg are you AnnaATROCITY from myspace?"
"yehhh I am."
"well I'm JosieJURASSIC from myspace!"
"oh my god. *hugs*"

An extremely gay trend sweeping our nation. It consists of posers who for some reason think it's cool to be illiterate and act dumb. They often talk about "dinos" and think it's cool to say "balls" and "crunk" and "hxc!". They usually end words with "z's" (ex: ballz). Also, they will give a word many extra letters that are unnecessary. (ex: heeeey whatssss upppp?) Plus, they have a very lame sense of style. Their style consists of shirts with obscenities written on them or a robot or dino or lightening bolts. Either way, it all sucks. They are the reason hot topic is corrupt these days and filled with gay crap like "invader zim" or "domo". It's quite annoying, actually. They like to say that they are original but they aren't because everyone else has been doing this same trend much longer than them. They also like to say they hate stereotypes but then they create it for themselves. Haha. They wear "cruuunk jewelry" that they find at claire's. It's usually dumb beads that are of neon color. They swear that they are the coolest people around but they are so oblivious to the world they can't see that they are SO ANNOYING and people hate them. The girls are usually dykes and have short nasty looking hair with very poorly cut choppy hair. Or, it's very long and they are what I call "prep-scene". This is a branch off of normal scene kids, taken over by preps. They are obsessed with all of the same things a normal scene kid is, but they also have a weird obsession with peace. It's not like they actually care about a cause, they just think it's cool to use a a fashion trend. A lot of scene people constantly act as if they are unsure of what their sexuality is. They say one day they are bi, then the next day, they're gay. Suddenly, they're straight. They will do anything for attention and are myspace whores. They are also whores in general sucking any dick or pussy in sight. (They don't know their sexuality, remember?) For an odd reason, they assume it's cool to have random outbursts such as screaming "MEEP!" "OMFG!", etc. They add tons of people they've never met on myspace just because they are "sceeeene kidz, yo!". Their myspace's are so irritating and filled with random pictures of dinos, alex evans, vampires, etc. They often post bulletins on myspace telling people everything that has happened in their lives as if they want someone to be jealous when no one cares. They are annoying fools that are attention cravers and honestly need a life.
