Atypical Anorexia

Atypical Anorexia is when someone can have normal weight or be overweight and have anorexia nervosa - it’s not always about starving and making sure their body is as skinny as it can, it’s about thinking, counting calories - the struggle people with anorexia have. Let’s bring awareness that Anorexia Nervosa isn’t just about weight, it isn’t a psychical disorder it’s a mental disorder. It’s about thinking, not always about the state of ur body.
Person A : I have Anorexia Nervosa

Person B : No way, you have a normal BMI plus you look normal

Person A : I have Atypical Anorexia, but I could have normal Anorexia ITS NOT ABOUT MY BODY ITS ABOUT MY HEAD.

one of my favourite shows, starring sam gardner (keir gilchrist), casey (bridgette lundy-paine) and izzie (fivel stewart). atypical is a modern show about everyday struggles about being on the spectrum, marriage issues and queer love. there are four seasons on netflix, but the fourth is quite rushed. cazzie stans are hoping for a spin-off, but that is unlikely seeing that netflix loves to cancel perfectly good shows.
"hey, have you watched atypical?"

"yup. it's one of my fav queer shows, and its so realistic too!"

A slur used against people that one does not like, such as a group of people, such as racially, or non-neurotypical peoples.
That Kid is very Atypical.

ADO (atypical dedicated orientation)

Atypical dedicated orientation (or ADO) - when one's sexual or romantic orientation (or both if they are gender- aligned) is atypically centered on a specific person who does not express the gender they are typically oriented to.

Like: You dig your man, but none of those other dudes do it for you at ALL, and really, women, trans, asexual or non-binary folx are where it's at for you sexually and/or romantically. He's the exception to the rule - lucky guy!!

You could use this as a way of articulating your broader orientation. Like: I'm bisexual but have ADO for my husband. I am not gonna be chasing any other cis men if we break up though!
I have ADO (atypical dedicated orientation) for my husband cuz he's the ONLY man I would ever want!
