Paula Abdul is an American reality television
personality and former recording artist. Known for her string of bops and hits and ass-shakers in the 80s and 90s such as but not limited to "Vibeology" and "Rush Rush", her career ultimately tanked in the late 90's and early 2000's when she started getting
negative press due to her suspected alcohol and painkiller problem, as well as a few instances of
getting involved in car accidents and hit & run's (the irony).
Paula has also come under fire in recent years for alleging that she was in a plane crash in 1994 or
1995 (sources differ, and she has changed her story numerous times) which she claims happened while she was on tour when a small 4-seater plane she was in travelling between shows crash landed in a field in Iowa. No evidence or record of the event exists and some speculate this narrative was a cop-out for her to abandon the music industry and instead focus on her choreography and becoming a television judge. She first spoke of the matter in the early 2010's during an interview with RuPaul.
