Old north West cowboy slang for a failed homestead farmer. Almost as bad as calling a cowboy a sheep herder.Cattle people never liked homesteaders and all their barbed wire fences.

1889- This whole town is wall to wall honyockers, bankers and sheep shit.

"Hobnocker" is a completely made up word from the nickelodeon show iCarly.

All of the previous definitions were written to Urban Dictionary AFTER the episode of iCarly with the meaningless word aired early 2009, all of the previous comments being a little bit later on.

The only description (from the episode of iCarly) is "gross... and illegal"

"You hobnocker!"

Offensive slang used as a disparaging term for a person from east-central Europe, especially a laborer.

Dialectical variations include: hunky, c.1896 and honky, c.1946.

Variation in spelling includes: hunyak. Probably a compound of Hungarian + Polack.

All these terms are used contemptuously.

When my grandfather immigrated to America, it was hard for him to get respect at work, because everyone thought he was just a honyock.
