A word that is used often in Newfoundland but is grammactically incorrect. The proper spelling is "Bhy" but many people do not know this. Bhy means to refer to somebody of any gender.
Person to person: You're brutal Bhy! Not to be confused with b'y.

The term “b’y” can be used to either emphasize a word or phrase, or to end a statement or sentence. The term is used widely by Newfoundlanders as well as many Cape Bretoners...who would like to be Newfoundlanders.
Emphasis - “Jesus b’y, will you frig right off?!”, or “Yes b’y, I knows now”.
Ending - “Dat party at Skipper’s shed was a dandy time b’y”, or “Whatta ya gettin on wit b’y?”
