A Shitsink is a place which is of vastly inferior quality to its surroundings and which is looked down upon with contempt.

Richard: So this is the first time that the Football World Cup has been held in Africa, isn't that great!

David: Not really, Africa is still, and will always be the world's biggest Shitsink.
