contrary to the previous definition "ghetts" is used as a single syllable abbreviation for ghetto and is used as an adjective to describe something of poor quality, construction or aesthetic appeal. Normally associated with make-shift or temporary solutions.

Ghetts 

An area or neighborhood that used to be nice maybe 20 years ago but now it's ran down and nasty. Not quite as bad the ghetto, but it's "ghetting" there. Usually close to a city, like borderline suburbs.

Man 1: Damn, Blue Island, IL used to be nice. Now it might as well be the South Side of Chicago.

An unsophisticated black man with absolutely no class whatsoever. A black man that will wear

sneakers and a twisted hat to a black tie event. They find it impossible to speak intelligently,

will always speak in ebonics and use past tenses, no matter the subject of conversation. You

can take the man out of the ghetto, but you can never take the ghetto out of the man.

Did you see Russell Simmons wearing the football jersey over his black tie and tuxedo? What a ghetto clown that guy is!
