When an audience grows weary of clapping, either at a ceremony or musical performance.

"That graduation ceremony was so long, I got clapathetic!"

"I was clapping at the beginning of the song, but I quit when I got clapathy."

The knowledge a mass of people share which causes them to know when to stop clapping. Can sometimes malfunction and cause the clapping to never end.

.at the end of a political speech.
"Dude did you feel the clapathy between us?"
"Yea man, it was beautiful"
