The Dark Age of Technology is a timeperiod from the Warhammer 40.000 universe wich was the zenith of Mankind's scientific knowledge and technological power in the Milky Way Galaxy, which lasted from the 15th Millennium A.D. until the onset of the Age of Strife in the 25th Millennium. One of the most important inventions, was the Standard Template Construct(STC) an advanced, artificially intelligent computer database created during the DAoT said to have contained the sum total of human scientific and technological knowledge. (Feks. Want to build a house, a tank, a Knight Battle-Mech, a pig-farm, a Lasgun etc.. on the world you have just colonized? Simply enter the information on the STC, and it will provide you with the plans to build from the available materials.
