SIGTERM 

On *n?x systems, a signal sent to programs to "ask" them to terminate, or end. Unlike SIGKILL, SIGTERM allows the program to do clean-up work (e.g. save, close, and delete files) before it ends.

During the shutdown process, processes are sent SIGTERM, and if there are some that don't want to terminate, those are sent SIGKILL a few seconds afterward.

sistermatic 

Describes da regular and methodical manner in which they perform everyday activities at a convent.

I enjoyed frequently visiting a local convent because not only were the nuns pleasant and respectful towards me, but their simple and sistermatic routines of daily living allowed me to usually know what times of the day were best for having a particular nun fellowship with me, sharing meals, etc.
