An underrated American Texas born actress, nicknamed the Texas twiggy growing up by family and friends for her slender skinny figure. Duvall is best know for her outstanding performance as Wendy Torrance in Stanley Kubrick’s horror classic The Shining opposite Oscar winner Jack Nicholson, as well as her role as Olive Oyl Robert Altman’s Popeye also starring the late great Robin Williams as the lead and Robert Altman’s chilling psychological thriller 3 Women opposite Sissy Spacek whom Duvall won best actress at the Cannes Film Festival for her role as Millie in the film. She has produced and starred in countless films and TV shows throughout her career notably the Emmy winning show Shelley Duvall’s Faerie Tale Theatre.
