mima

Pet phrase or filler word used in Galicia to show amusement about something. Also used to express that the person you are talking to is being "smart". It literally means my mother.

pai: eu sachaba toda esta eira en 45 minutos cando tiña a túa idade.

father: i used to plow this whole field in 45 minutes when i was your age.
fillo: mima, que dis? non o crees ti nin tolo.

son: mima, what do you say? you don't believe it, you fool.

sentidiño

1. To have the head firmly over your shoulders.
2. To be responsible with your actions.

túa nai: ay, meu fillo... que falta de sentidiño tes!
ti: aínda vás ter razón e todo.
