Ebonics is an attempt to ruin the beautiful English language, which has been pulled by uneducated, generally illiterate people, who usually are thugs, pimps, thieves etc. It is very common. It is frequent among any population in a large city, in any part of the anglosphere, or for that matter, nearly anywhere in the world. But it started off with people who didn't learn english very well and lived in the south.
Ebonics speaker: Sheeit, das riite. I is right! Yo' ass is wrong!
Random person: What did he say? That was some Ebonics shit... I was merely joking. I meant to say, that was garbage, I couldn't even understand what was said!

When a person gets too angry about small little things and gets so mad they end up making themselves look like an idiot rather than making the targeted person look like an idiot.
Look at that pratfall clown, his argument is comprised of him yelling random obscenities rather than addressing the issue. He's raging yet not getting anywhere. He isn't making a point, he's simply spewing obscenities and falling over in his own rage. He's saying things with such low amounts of effort that they are making him look worse rather than bettering his case and argument.

An ancient shrew-looking creature that died out and left no descendants behind. Jumps like a kangaroo but is very small. Lived in southern Europe. Lived shortly after dinosaurs died out, as the forests returned and it became very hot. Europe was hot and humid then. The creatures were bipedal. Interesting due to their alien appearance, and the fact that they died out without any descendants.
Wow, leptictidiums are such alien creatures yet had they lived maybe there would be a kangaroo-seeming creature in one of the birthplaces of western civilization!

Different regions, a poetic way of referencing the the southeastern USA (generally the former confederate states).

Can also refer to a region of southern New Zealand filled with fjords, glaciers and rain forests. The New Zealand one is a genuine regional name rather than a poetic reference and is on the opposite side of the country as Northland (in the north) another genuine regional name.
For the first: Down here in the southland on the farms.
For the second: Tomorrow I'm going to the southland district to see the forests and fjords.

This is not an english word. In tamil, it can mean poor thing. It is funny as it can be overused to the point that someone constructs an entire sentence consisting of only the word itself. It can mean other things too, such as sin apparently. It can be used to simply add an image of helplessness or care. I am writing this to give a more appropriate definition than the other given for this word. As with many south indian words, they are obviously shared across many languages in south india. But, this definition should also be given, to show that there are two meanings. Pavum can become humorous if it is overused for things that really do not need it, just as how saying, "poor thing, she's a mother!" would be humorous when used as an argument for the mother's careless mistakes. It becomes humorous if it is used too much, like in cases where the person really doesn't need any pity, and is probably just making a mistake.
person one: The other day a child did a terrible job playing their instrument, and then boasted about it, trying to pretend like they were better than everybody else, and bragged about it.
person two: Pavum, oru papa! (poor thing, they're only a child)

well that doesn't make it any better, the child knows better than to brag about what was obviously a terrible performance for which they were given applause by the teacher only due to their good relationship with that teacher.

The argument of their being a child doesn't make sense when the others are also children and have to put up with someone who was only praised due to their relationship with the teacher. They know better than to laugh at people who are doing better than them, as if they are doing a better job themselves.
