hair metal

Hair metal is subgenre of heavy metal. Also called glam metal. It started on the sunset strip in los angeles. The sunset strip was made famous by van halen. Quiet riot got signed and other bands started to get signed like ratt,dokken,montley crue. The music was pretty good. Most people thinks it gay music cause the bands wore catskin,makeup and looked like hot chicks. Maybe you should ask all the groupies from back then if they were gay. Later bands like bon jovi,warrent,and winger are not hair metal there hair pop-rock bands or whatever. They ripped off poisons succsesful balled every rose has it thorn. With there own balleds.

garage rock (2000s)

garage rock of the 2000s. Labeled by the media as garage rock revival for it gaining mainstream interest again. but there have been different revivals in garage rock going threw the 50s,60s,70s. Starting around 2000 to 2001. Bands like the strokes,the white stripes,the hives and the vines are the first four bands to get mainstream success. This sound is on the alt-rock side of things so with there success they thankfully kicked nu-metal off the alt-rock stations. Also imo along with post-punk revival the best rock genres of the 2000s.

Garage rock (2000s) are also the libertines,black rebel motorcycle club,the D4,yeah yeah yeahs,the von bondies,the datsuns,arctic monkeys,kings of leon,the black keys,cage the elephant,twin berlin,harlem,the soft pack exc exc

Hardcore emo is when your girlfriend breaks up with you in highschool and embarrass you so bad that. You lose all of your friends and popularity. This causes you to quit the football team. And start wearing leather jackets only small black t-shirts skinny jeans and converse. And write songs about all bad things that happend to you. And run away from home.

Kid1:hey just yesterday that kid was capten of the team. Now he's all dark and writes sad songs. Kid2:I know that's because he's hardcore emo.
