A general purpose term of abuse. Believed to derive from the Tamil word for devil.

hooded channian 

Male teenager dressed in a hoodie. Usually seen in gangs drinking cans of cheap beer or racing each other on stolen mopeds. May be shortened to Ho-C.

Careful; there's a nest of hooded channians over there.
