A higher end civic trim usually kept separate from the standard trims of the Honda civic. powered first By the B series and now the K series engines it is sold in the north American and European markets mainly. Distinct usually by Unique ascetics like different side skirts spoilers and rims.

A special edition of the Honda civic witch true version has only been sold in japan and recently Australia. Meant to be a much more sportier and of course faster civic. The earlier type Rs had b16s and produced upwards of 180hp.
