A term that is consistently mistaken for an actor, which is obviously not. Idols generally appear to be more natural than actors, while actors are extremely talented, it seems that they lack two qualities that idols are full of; fan service and entertaining the camera without any awkwardness.

Person 1: omg i love that *idol* Nam Joo-hyuk, he is babe
Person 2: ...what did you just call joohyuk?
