US var. of British townie or towny: Comes from low income background. Wears fake "bling" (often times shiny plastic medallions dispensed by candy machines), oversized black sweatshirts,and oversized denim pants(gangsta style). Female specimens adorn themselves with "goth" style makeup: cheap foundation, blue eyeshadow/eyliner or black eyeliner. The townie skips school and "hangs" around urban developments in town. Speak of smoking (tobacco or anything illicit)and drinking and hate anyone "prep."
