1) Action: A dance that displays an act of confusion. There tends to be many background items that can distract a viewers eyes. This dance has no strict plot or rhythm. The dance originates from the Mexican heritage to be late and in a state of disarray.

2) To Describe a Situation: When using the term "Mexican Shuffle", it can be applied to a confusing, flip-flopped, or some sort of a switched up situation.
1) I went to the Rodriguez house and watched Juan perform the Mexican Shuffle while I admired his clock collection in the background. It confused me.

2) Agusto and Ramirez spoke quickly and reversed the story on me. I felt like I had be hit with a Mexican Shuffle.
