Vocalist of the band Linkin Park
, formed in 1996. Born on March 20, 1976, Chester Bennington was the final addition to the band and has proven to be an essential asset to their fame. He was wed to Samantha Bennington on October 31st, 1996 and would have been married to her for eight years, this year. However, recently, the finalization of their divorce was made public and they are currently fight for custody of Draven Bennington, the couple's first and only child.
In today's music business, Chester's voice was a breath of fresh air; flawless and beautiful, even despite the screaming. Many believe that the band would not be where they are, today, without Chester's voice.
Chester Bennington is a beautiful man.
In 2000, guitarist Aaron Fink and bassist Mark James Klepaski left a band that was signed to Universal and was gaining commercial acceptance to join forces with vocalist Ben Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel to form Breaking Benjamin. They debuted in 2001 with their first album, Saturate, with their song 'Polyamorous' and were signed by Hollywood Records shortly afterward. We Are Not Alone, their second album, was released in 2004 and they became wildly popular all over the USA through their single, 'So Cold'.
Breaking Benjamin is a unique band with mind-blowing vocals and it's a shame that they have only recently been given even half of the recognition that they deserve.
Breaking Benjamin is one of the most talented bands of our decade.
Alien Ant Farm is a wonderful band that has had very little recognition; a lot less than it deserves, other than the infamous cover of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' in 2001. Dryden Mitchell provides unique, addictive vocals and the music is unique and quirky. Their lack of popularity is astonishing; especially with 'artists' like Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte taking over radio stations all over the country.
Alien Ant Farm's best songs, in my opinion, are: Wish, Calico, Courage, Whisper, Attitude, Movies, Glow, and These Days.
Texas hard rock/alternative metal quintet Submersed blend heavy volume with heavy issues that reflect their rugged individualism and ambition to be a "positive force for change." Formed in the late-'90s in the small town of Stephenville, the group consists of vocalist Donald Carpenter, lead guitarist/vocalist Eric Friedman, bassist Kelan Luker, guitarist TJ Davis, and drummer Garrett Whitlock. The band released In Due Time on Wind Up Records in September of 2004.
Submersed's vocalist, Erid Friedman, is one of the most talented vocalists I have ever heard.
"The biggest misconception about us is that we're just a rock band," describes Linkin Park's guitarist Brad Delson. "We think our music is a cross-section of many genres; a hybrid of what the six of us have grown up on." The title of the band's debut album and its original band name, Hybrid Theory, describes both the six-piece's artistic goals and its approach to making music. Linkin Park's sound, a melting pot of heavy alternative rock, hip-hop, and electronic flourishes, is utterly their own, an accomplishment strengthened by the band's remarkably powerful, organic songwriting. But almost everything about Linkin Park has been unforced, including their Southern California origins.
Linkin Park: you either love 'em or you hate 'em. There's no inbetween.
