Using cell phone or land line to comfort or remove age appropriate responsibility from another - generally a son or daughter who would benefit from learning to deal with adversity without parental intervention. Similar in approach to e-coddle but more interactive and often involves the parent/coddler demanding to speak with another adult or organizational representative who is not performing as the child (and parent) would like.
Nicole's mom could not help but call and tele-coddle her when she saw that Nicole looked unhappy in the on-line camp pictures.
