noun. A term coined on Twitter initially used in a derogatory manner to describe the appearance and dancing of Caribbean women during carnival. It was later reclaimed by the Caribbean people and used to refer to beautiful women in vibrant, feathered costumes worn annually during their Carnival celebrations
