When way up in the mountains with no sounds, the silence does indeed get to be screamingly loud & deafening!
I doubted what I heard about the silence is deafening until I experienced it firsthand. What an amazing phenomena!

Get the Xena, Warrior Princessmug. Phones that cost 50 cents to use & are out in public. They used to be 10 cents in the 70's & 5 cents in New Orleans.
When I used pay phones in the 70's, I was surprised that it only gave 3 minutes of talk time for 10 cents!

Get the pay phonesmug. Saying the alphabet backwards, from Z to A. Thanks to the Captain Kangaroo show, which aired it so very, very many times, I somehow managed to memorize it & can say it in 3 Seconds flat! No kidding!
People doubt that I can say the backwards alphabet & are shocked when I accomplish it! They always ask how I can do that!
