A perfect gif is a type of gif in the .gif format which appears to loop in a way such that appear as to continue forever, with the start & end of the gif flowing seamlessly, although actually having a fixed number of frames. Some examples of this include repeating patterns, gifs that have parts reversed, and some variations of optical illusions.
Person 1: Have you seen that perfect gif of the rotating squares?
Person 2: Yeah! I've watched it for almost a minute before realising it was a perfect gif.
