Derogatory name for people who are considered “normal” generally within the context of the internet or various art and music subcultures. A normie often doesn’t like, understand or appreciate ideas or artistic statements that don’t abide by what is currently trendy or popular, and generally has a worldview which is limited to their immediate surroundings and what they have been told growing up. A normie would generally not think of themselves as such or likely even know that the term exists.

Short for Radical Liberal. Used as an insult among leftist groups for people who claim to be radicals or leftists, often to feel good about themselves, but express liberal, uninformed or otherwise non-leftist views about important topics such as capitalism, reformism vs revolution, lgbtq+ rights, gender politics, or sometimes just people who support Joe Biden.

Referring to music, if somebody tells you a song or artist “melts your face off” or “will melt your face off” this is generally thought of as a good thing. To melt one’s face off is to completely blow them away or overwhelm them with the intensity or energy of the music being played.
