An inherently defensive anger resulting from an attack on something that one holds an otherwise-irrational fondness for (i.e.: TV show, movie, song); usually driven by impulse and mob-mentality.

Name based on the overindulgent hype surrounding the movie "Snakes on a Plane" which many of your friends will probably tell you was great. It wasn't.
1: "Snakes on a Plane was an great movie and you are such a jerk for not thinking so."
2: "Quit that soap rage, you know it wasn't that good."
