An individual who does not allow emotions to over take facts, while at the same time not allowing facts to minimize how someone else feels. They are open to discussions, ideas and conversations; and view debates as useful friction. All facets of life are contextual, however, with classic modes of being, trends and stories that can be used as sign posts or guidance (See pragmatism, and stoicism).
James never lost his temper when someone shared a differing opinion from his own. After all he was a philosophical moderate and relished diverse thoughts.

A free form podcast that utilizes various pseudonyms and voice modulation to disguise the speakers. This is done in an attempt to reduce the biases of the listener. This form of podcast was deeply influenced by Midnight Gospel and its lead character played by Duncan Trussel.
Joe Rogan suggested on his podcast that podcasts were in their adolescence and that a new form needed to be developed. Due to this suggestion anonymous casting was devised to remove the bias that listeners experience when they know who will be on the episode.

Shaming or otherwise guilting another party for not sharing the same belief or value system as yourself in an attempt to alter their opinion. This can involve haphazard labeling, or insults of the cursory nature.
James engaged in shame-splaining by calling Pete narrow-minded for his beliefs on gun control, before expressing how gun control should work and how wrong Pete was.

The tendency for the field of psychology to remain silent about the internal practices that silence diverse viewpoints, and frames of reference through which phenomena may be understood. Many of these tendencies come from practices that claim to be "Critical," and without contest.
The professor was practicing silencing psychology as he professed hard and fast viewpoints that increased discomfort among his students, leading to their total shut down in the class discussion.
