This subgenre of grindcore started with the band Carcass, and is most notable for having gore obsessed lyrics, more of a "groove", and pitchshifting vocals. Most notable goregrind bands are: Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Cephalic Carnage, Pig Destroyer, Vomitorial Corpulence and many more.
