Ginker vehicles were the original "bling" vehicles.

For instance, you had Ginker, Stage III: Unnecessary Chroming. Adding chrome to things that generally aren't seen much, or are near impossible to clean. Oil pans, water pumps, timing chain covers, alternators, power steering pumps are some of the items that would receive the shiney touch up from the JC Whitney catalog.
