The cheater's way to learn a song. Often used by people who can't read music. When you learn to play songs with tabs you learn to play songs without actually learning any skill on the guitar.
stupid kid: look at how cool I am!!! I learned how to play Smoke on the Water using tabs!!!
Me: *listens to the song once* that song's just power chords on the first 4 notes of the blues scale.
